UBO School - October 20th - 24th, 2003
Signa Engineering Corp. offers customized training courses for numerous domestic and foreign clients, including Fortune 500 service companies, Major Oil Companies and numerous national oil companies in South America, Asia and the Far East. At the recent UBO Training School in Houston, Texas, trainees went back to work with accurate, up-to-date and practical information that they can begin applying to their operations immediately. Signa has been the leader in UnderBalanced Operations training since 1999 with their comprehensive UBO School.
The five-day course was held at the Signa offices at 2 Northpoint Drive in Houston, Texas. The instructor,
George Medley, is the executive Vice-President of Signa Engineering, and has over 25 years
experience in oil and gas operations and R&D.
Medley's method of instruction takes the student through the entire UBO process, from start to finish, promoting problem solving and giving attendants a detailed, concise understanding of appropriate UBO processes. The UBO School is unique in its dissemination and not limited to drilling technique - all aspects such as completion through workover and re-completion are covered. The course also addresses UBO fluid systems, major segments on surface equipment layout, drillstring & casing design, and much more.
This class is specifically oriented toward operators who are considering UBO operations, not service companies. Typical students include engineers in drilling, production and operations, field supervisors, managers, etc.
